Brief Motivation
I am standing for the AFRINIC 2025 elections because I believe Africa’s Internet future must be built on equity, transparency, and innovation. With over 20 years of experience leading ISPs, carriers, and broadband providers across more than 10 African countries, I bring both deep technical expertise and proven executive leadership.
As Group CTO & Managing Director at SimbaNET and Wananchi Telecom, I have overseen several TBs of submarine capacity, rolled out hundreds of thousands of FTTH homes bridging the digital divide and reduced international bandwidth costs from thousands to less than $1, making Internet more affordable. I have led award-winning projects such as the 900 km Malawi Fiber Backbone & Virtual Landing Station, recognized globally for excellence.
Beyond infrastructure, I have championed innovation and capacity building—launching services like Managed Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, IoT, and cybersecurity, while mentoring African engineers and ensuring strong succession planning.
I believe AFRINIC must strengthen its role not only as a registry, but also as a strategic enabler of digital growth. My priorities will be to accelerate IPv6 adoption, ensure fair resource allocation, improve operational transparency, and support training for SMEs, startups, and community networks.
I offer AFRINIC a balance of technical mastery, governance integrity, and continental experience, and I am committed to serving the community with vision and accountability
